Kočiūnienei palinkėjusi stiprios sveikatos, namų šilumos ir jaukumo bei įteikusi simbolinių dovanų. Kartu su mere daugiavaikę motiną aplankęs Kapčiamiesčio seniūnas Vidmantas Dambrauskas taip pat negailėjo gražių linkėjimų.
Minint motinos dieną V. Kočiūnienė buvo pagerbta Lietuvos Respublikos Prezidento Gitano Nausėdos apdovanojimu Motinos dienos proga ordino „Už nuopelnus Lietuvai“ medaliu. Tuomet jai padėkota už nuopelnus motinyste ir globai, už atsakingumą, pasiaukojimą, įkvepiantį pavyzdį savo bendruomenei ir visai visuomenei.
